motorcycles are highly polluting

http://blog.wired.com/cars/2008/12/the-greening-of.html

"Motorcycles may deliver 70 mpg or more, but they can be 10 times more polluting per mile than passenger cars"

D: !!!

I heard something similar about outboard motors on boats.

All-electrics seem a good in-town solution.

Keep in mind a bike has a lousy drag profile.
Sure, the front cross-section is small.
But the rider is upright, and there are few drag bodies / many turbulence areas.

Recumbent bikes have a better drag profile- and are way more comfortable. See the FAQ at www.recumbents.com or go try one at Urbane cyclist in Toronto.

Yer preaching to the converted, brotha. I have a Cruzbike! I might offer it for rent via Bicycle Forest if there is a demand.
